A stereoscope is a device for the examination of images in three dimensions. Usually involves two images that were taken at the same time the cameras that were several inches apart to simulate the distance between the eyes (or a single camera with two goals.) Examples include the view-master and the old folk stereopticon in the nineteenth century. A stethoscope is a device for the list to the sounds inside the human body especially the heart and lungs.
